IP Obfuscator

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is IP Obfuscator?
A: IP Obfuscator is a free service that converts the IPs and hostnames into their decimal, hexadecimal, or octal equivalent.
Q: What is it's use?
A: Uh, no actual use, really. It's just for fun. And for confusing a poor soul.

Q: Why did you make this?
A: I think I had a lot of free time on my hand.

Q: How does such a weird-looking URL work?
A: Because they just do. Take a look at this. Cool, huh?

Q: Does the obfuscated URLs work across all platforms?
A: If you are using an OS based on Windows or Unix platform, the obfuscated IPs should probably work just fine. But if you are on a Mac, they probably won't. God help them!

Web servers running on Apache have been known to refuse requests for obfuscated URLs with a "400 Bad Request" header. Guess they really don't like us.

Q: Is it free?
A: You bet!

Q: How do I get in touch with you?
A: Send an email.
